Today it's the turn of an extremely wealthy and in some quarters, popular Irish singer BONO.
Does this make him the man to listen to to all manner of environmental concerns?
Hell no.
He has never ever given up on his primary source of income and gone over to actually DOING something to 'save the planet' from the atrocities of mankind. Instead he gets his rocks off these days by telling other people what they should be doing to save the planet from the atrocities of mankind.
If he gave away 90% of his income to the 'good causes' he wants us all to support he would still be able to live a very comfortable life and show BY EXAMPLE what others in his position could be doing but he doesn't and so we can safely ignore this man who insists on wearing sunglasses at any time of day or night, even if it's cloudy because he probably believes that sunlight will harm his eyes.
Of course it will if you stare at the sun for long enough or stop to stare at it whilst crossing a busy road but in everyday use sunlight ain't much of an issue unless you live in Antarctica or the Arctic where it can get a tad bright when it reflects off all that snow so there is a place for sunglasses it's just not the MEN Arena at 11 o'clock at night!
Still here is the Irish idiot inviting every crank on the planet to have a pop at him. Some will use a paint gun or an air gun but you can bet your bottom dollar that at some point a real lunatic will use a real gun and actually shoot him because Bono told them to do it.
Now that would be an interesting court case!

Story itself
Bono, the multi-millionaire rock star and frontman of U2, has admitted that he is overpaid but dismissed claims of hypocrisy for preaching about poverty in developing countries.
The U2 frontman made the comments after launching a campaign supported by Nike
and Apple, urging people to buy clothes and electronics to help fund aid
project in Africa.
Why not cut out the big American companies and send ALL the money they
would have spent on buying the companies products direct to the
charidee?
When asked if he thought people were sympathetic to a campaign fronted by
someone with his wealth, he told the Daily Mail: "You can still contribute
even if you are not as fortunate as I am.
"Because I'm Bono and I'm telling you too you poor saps."
"I've been blessed and I've been over-rewarded for what I do and I'm trying to
give my time and my resources but you know, I'm a rich rock star, so shoot
me.
I'm sure someone somewhere will oblige.
"I'm having a great life and even though I can be a pain in the a*** going on
about all this stuff, the band feel strongly about it too."
That's the groups tour bus, planes and helicopters made prime and easy
targets. If I was a U2 roadie I'd make my own travel arrangements from
here on in.
On Monday Bono launched the Lace Up Save Lives campaign - a partnership between Nike and the (RED) brand, which he co-founded.
Gap, Apple and Dell are among others to sign up to the initiative, with money
spent on certain products going to the campaign.
Products that are either crap, over-priced, out of date, or simply not selling.
Bono said he was not asking people to put their hands in their own pockets,
but the pockets of big corporations.
The lying git. That's exactly the opposite of what he is asking.
Earlier this year, leading charities including Oxfam attacked U2 for moving
their business to the Netherlands where there is virtually no tax on
royalties. It deprived Ireland of revenue and the government then cut its
overseas aid budget.
Nice one Bono me old mate. A classic case of 'DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO!" Tosser.
The move came in 2006 after the Irish government introduced a cap of €250,000 (£230,000) on tax-free incomes for artists. It meant the band would have faced a multi-million pound tax bill because of their huge album sales, tour receipts and royalties. It is believed to have saved them around £15m.
Bono, whose real name is Paul Hewson, said he did not mind criticism from people "doing their bit".
"I think it's OK to criticise me as long as the ones who are doing so are
doing their bit," he said.
Well I don't give a stuff about the basket cases within Africa. Africa
is a continent and not a country some countries have cracked it many
haven't and never will. That's up to the people that live there. I'd
much prefer to help Britain and even Ireland be rid of the basket cases
that are running our countries into the ground. If the Dutch are daft
enough to accept these Irish gangsters that's up to them. Good riddance
to them.
"With this campaign, I'm not asking people to put their hands in their
pockets. I'm asking them to put the hands in the pockets of the companies
like Apple and I'm not sure people really get that.
Oh more people "GET IT" than you realise Mr Bono.
"I'm surprised that people are interested in talking to me any more. They must
just think, 'God, he's back again'."
Personally I just wish you'd go to your favourite
African basket case country and base you and your wonderful band there.
If you paid them the amount of tax you should have paid the country of
your birth it would keep it's rulers in Mercedes limousines for many a
long year.
