Just clicked on the link on the EVENING MAIL news page to take me through to a story about how the Furness Academy Limited school kids have brought Christmas cheer to the towns 'old folk'.
Nothing new in that all three predecessor schools did exactly the same thing but the Furness Academy Company Limited will push whatever good news it can.
But what is really silly is that the link....

Takes the reader through to WigtonLocal! Link
Wigton is around 90 miles away from Barrow so what the hell is as story about a Barrovian school doing on a Wigton website.
Obviously someone in the CN group which controls most of the media in Cumbria has 'pressed the wrong button' which typifies this media company's approach to accuracy.

I had been maintaining the Wigton Local website for CN for a a few months now and this is NOT of my doing BUT I will try to find out. There are a group of these local news s sites all maintained by volunteers - there is some recompense offered but, in the main, it is done by people who live their community and want to see it "in the news"
I think this is simply a misplaced link as the story does not appear in my 'back-office" page and I doubt I can unravel this until into the New Year but I will be interested to see if there are further comments - especially from Wigton folk themselves!
Simply remember that these "local" pages are maintained by volunteers rather than CN itself. I also have a business to run!
